USF Women’s Soccer Returns to Corbett Stadium to Face Charlotte

TAMPA, Fla. (October 18, 2025) – The University of South Florida women's soccer team returns home to Corbett Stadium to host Charlotte on Sunday. South Florida (6-7-1, 2-3-1 American) and Rice (7-4-2, 3-1-2 American) are scheduled to start at 1 p.m. on ESPN+.
 
The match on Sunday will be Alumni Day. Some USF alumni will be honored during halftime of the match.
 
During the Bulls weekend trip to Texas, where they played UTSA and Rice, Selma Åström scored her first career goal in her second-ever collegiate game, and Yui Suetsugu scored her second goal of the season.
 
USF is 3-1-1 at home this season and will look to continue to build that positive record in the match on Sunday.
 
Setting the Stage
The Bulls are coming off a 3-1 loss at Rice. The 49ers traveled to Philadelphia and beat Temple 2-0.

Series History
South Florida's all-time record against Charlotte is 4-5-3, with a record of 2-3-1 when matches are played at home. The last two meetings between the Bulls and the 49ers have concluded 0-0.

Chris Brown enters his second season as USF head coach after a record-setting debut in 2024, leading the Bulls to 12 wins and coaching both the American Athletic Conference Midfielder of the Year and Goalkeeper of the Year. Brown spent 17 years as associate head coach (2007–2023), helping USF to three American Athletic Conference titles, eight NCAA appearances, and a 10-year streak of 10+ win seasons. He coached USF's first All-American, Evelyne Viens, now a Hall of Famer and Olympic gold medalist, and has developed multiple American Athletic Conference award winners. Players under his guidance hold most of the program's records.
