USF Men’s Golf Finish Seventh at Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational

Jackson Spybey leads Bulls with a five-under performance as the team wraps up another strong showing in Vero Beach

Vero Beach, Fla., Oct. 20, 2025 – The University of South Florida men's golf team turned in another strong performance at the Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational, finishing seventh at 16-under par, led by standout play from Jackson Spybey.

Spybey continued his consistent fall season with a five-under finish to place 18th overall. He opened the tournament with an impressive first round that helped establish the Bulls near the top of the leaderboard early, maintaining steady play throughout the three-day event.

Nino Palmquist finished three-under, Roman Solomon and Joshua Stewart each finished one-under. Hugo Trommetter rounded out the team lineup with another steady showing for the Bulls.

Competing individually, freshman Gunnar Green and sophomore Matthew Joseph also performed well, both finishing under par. Green ended at one-under, while Joseph posted rounds of 73, 69, and 72 to finish two-under.

Up Next:
The Bulls will close out the fall season at the FAU Invitational, scheduled for Oct. 27–28 at Panther National Golf Club in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. After a solid showing at Quail Valley, USF will look to finish the fall on a strong note at their final invitational of the season.

About USF Men's Golf
The USF men's golf program has captured 19 conference titles and has seen players earn 19 All-America honors. The Bulls have won six American Athletic Conference Tournament championships in wire-to-wire fashion, winning four consecutive from 2015-18. The Bulls have had six individual conference champions, including Jake Peacock in both 2024 and 2025. They went to nine straight NCAA Regional appearances from 2013-2022, including a 6th place finish in NCAA Championship match-play in 2015. USF is led by Steve Bradley, who has been named American Athletic Conference Coach of the Year five times since taking over the program in 2014. The Bulls have posted 25 tournament wins under Bradley including three in the 2023-24 season, by far the most under any coach in program history.
