USF Women’s Soccer Welcomes Tampa Bay Sun FC for Thursday’s Match Against North Texas

TAMPA, Fla. (October 23, 2025) – The University of South Florida women's soccer team welcomes the Tampa Bay Sun FC for a home match against North Texas on Thursday. South Florida (7-7-1, 3-3-1 American) and North Texas (5-9-3, 1-4-2 American) are scheduled to start at 7 p.m. on ESPN+.
 
The team will wear pink jerseys in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness. Fans can take photos with the Sun's championship trophy.
 
In the Bulls' 300th program win against Charlotte on Sunday, Gentiana Fetaj scored her fourth goal and added her seventh assist of the season. Linnea Nestor produced her second goal of the season.
 
USF is 4-1-1 at home this season and will look to continue to build that positive record in the match on Sunday.
 
Setting the Stage
The Bulls are coming off a 2-1 win over Charlotte. North Texas tied with Rice 2-2 on Sunday.
 
Series History
South Florida is undefeated with a 3-0 record against UNT. Matches were won with a score of 1-0 twice, and 2-1 once.

Chris Brown enters his second season as USF head coach after a record-setting debut in 2024, leading the Bulls to 12 wins and coaching both the American Athletic Conference Midfielder of the Year and Goalkeeper of the Year. Brown spent 17 years as associate head coach (2007–2023), helping USF to three American Athletic Conference titles, eight NCAA appearances, and a 10-year streak of 10+ win seasons. He coached USF's first All-American, Evelyne Viens, now a Hall of Famer and Olympic gold medalist, and has developed multiple American Athletic Conference award winners. Players under his guidance hold most of the program's records.
