USF MEN'S TENNIS COMPETES IN AMERICAN FALL INDIVIDUALS

Cham and Verdese advanced to the Quarterfinals

TAMPA (October 25, 2025)- The University of South Florida Men's Tennis team sent Elijah Cham and Gughi Verdese to compete in the American Fall Individual Conference Championships hosted in Tulsa, Oklahoma from October 23-26
 

After both earning a BYE in the first round, Cham and Verdese recorded singles wins to move into the Quarterfinals. No. 5 Cham faced off against Juan Pablo Valdez Gudon and earned a 7-5, 6-0 victory to advance. No. 10 Verdese upset No. 7 Vasco Prata with a 6-6, 7-6 (7-5).
 

In the Quarterfinals, both Bulls fell short. Verdese finished with a 2-6, 2-6 score. Cham battled with a 5-7, 6-7 (6-8) loss


Up Next

The Bulls will travel to Fort Myers, Fla. to compete in the Bonita Bay Classic, hosted by FGCU from November 7-9.
