USF Women’s Soccer Goes on the Road to UAB

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (October 25, 2025) – The University of South Florida women's soccer team will face UAB for the last road match of the regular season. South Florida (7-7-2, 3-3-2 American) and UAB (5-5-6, 2-3-3 American) are scheduled to start at 12 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
 
In the Bulls tie with North Texas on Sunday, Linnea Nestor scored her third goal of the season, bringing her back-to-back matches with goals. Leire Herraez Gallach set a season-high six saves in goal.
 
USF is 3-2 against UAB on the road and will seek to build on that record Sunday night.

Setting the Stage
Both teams played on Thursday, with the Bulls tying UNT 1-1 and the Blazers losing to Temple 1-0.

Chris Brown enters his second season as USF head coach after a record-setting debut in 2024, leading the Bulls to 12 wins and coaching both the American Athletic Conference Midfielder of the Year and Goalkeeper of the Year. Brown spent 17 years as associate head coach (2007–2023), helping USF to three American Athletic Conference titles, eight NCAA appearances, and a 10-year streak of 10+ win seasons. He coached USF's first All-American, Evelyne Viens, now a Hall of Famer and Olympic gold medalist, and has developed multiple American Athletic Conference award winners. Players under his guidance hold most of the program's records.
