USF Women’s Soccer Clinches American Conference Tournament Bid with Win over FAU

Gentiana Fetaj scored to secure the win with just over a minute remaining.
TAMPA, Fla. (October 30, 2025) – The University of South Florida women's soccer team hosted Florida Atlantic for the final match of the regular season. The Bulls (8-8-2, 4-4-2 American) beat the Owls (4-11-3, 1-6-2 American) 2-1. USF has clinched a spot in the American Conference Tournament starting Monday in Lakewood Ranch, Fla.
The first goal of the game did not come until the second half, when Selma Åström scored her third collegiate goal in the 82nd minute. Åström has now scored in back-to-back matches.
Just four minutes later, the Owls equalized the game with a goal by Sutton Markee, assisted by Sloane Young.
Just two minutes after that, with one minute remaining in the match, Gentiana Fetaj scored to put the Bulls back in front, 2-1. USF would hold onto the lead for the final seconds.
Leire Herraez Gallach started in goal for the Bulls and made six saves. There were no cards given out to either team for the entirety of the match.
