Tampa, Fla., Nov. 7, 2025 — The University of South Florida fell 3-2 to Tulsa in overtime, in the first round of the American Conference Championship on Friday night at Corbett Stadium.
South Florida opened the first half with strong control, applying steady pressure on Tulsa's back line. After Tulsa struck first in the 22nd minute
Jakob Auby responded quickly in the 26th minute, assisted by
Fabio Bozesan and
João Belmudes.
The Bulls continued to build momentum, taking the lead in the 32nd minute when
Tyler Richardson buried a shot into the back of the net, putting South Florida ahead 2-1. The Bulls' defense, anchored by goalkeeper
Jahiem Wickham, held firm for the remainder of the half with key saves, keeping South Florida's 2-1 lead into halftime.
The match ended regulation tied at 2-2, forcing overtime. Tulsa scored in the opening minute of extra time to secure the 3-2 result.
South Florida closes its season after a program-record start, opening the year unbeaten through its first 12 matches and securing a postseason berth for the second consecutive year.
