TAMPA, FLA., Nov. 6, 2025 – South Florida (7-2, 4-1 American) returned from a bye week with a vengeance, racing to a 45-10 halftime lead before dispatching UTSA (4-5; 2-3 American) 55-23 on Salute to Service night at Raymond James Stadium.

The Bulls had a 14-0 lead before the offense ever hit the field, as the defense produced two touchdowns (USF now has four defensive TD on the year) on UTSA's first two possessions. When the offense finally did get on the field, with 2:07 to play in the first quarter, it was an unstoppable force scoring touchdowns in four straight possessions in a total of just over five minutes on the field.

Quarterback Byrum Brown started 10-of-10 for 199 yards and two touchdowns and had run for 100 yards and a touchdown just a minute into the second half. He saw just over 29 minutes of action in the game and posted his fifth straight 300-plus yard total offense game, posting 348 total yards and accounting for three touchdowns – going 14-of-15 passing for 239 yards and two touchdowns and running for 109 yards and a touchdown.

Wide receiver Keshaun Singleton had a career high 122 yards on four catches – several spectacular – and added touchdown grabs of 16 and 40 yards. Meanwhile, Nykahi Davenport ran for a career-best 94 yards on seven carries (13.4 ypc), with touchdown runs of 59 and seven yards.

But it was the defense that started the avalanche and was dominant all night, logging six sacks, 12 tackles for loss, and holding UTSA to 72 yards rushing. UTSA running back Robert Henry came into the game averaging 124 yards per game and was held to 27.

UTSA took to opening kickoff and has quarterback Owen McCown drop back to pass on the first play from scrimmage. Bulls safety Jarvis Lee Jr. blitzed, hitting McCown as he released a ball that was intercepted by safety Tavin Ward and returned 40 yards for a touchdown just eight seconds into the game.

On UTSA's second possession, the Roadrunners drove to the USF2. McCown again dropped back to pass and Lee again blitzed, this time getting to McCown and forcing a fumble that was scooped by safety Fred Gaskin and returned 85 yards for a touchdown. The Bulls led 14-0 with 7:06 to play in the first quarter and the offense had yet to see the field and was rewarming up with strength coach Geo Courides during the commercial break. Lee finished the game with a team-high six tackles, three tackles for loss, two sacks and a forced fumble.

On the next UTSA possession, USF forced a punt, but the ball hit a Bull running down the field in the back of the foot. The Roadrunners recovered and took possession at the USF27. The defense held and UTSA converted a 33-yard field goal to get on the board.

Brown finally led the USF offense on to the field following the ensuing kickoff. He led a 65-yard drive in 2:12 that was capped by his 13-yard touchdown run. The Bulls would go on to score touchdowns in 1:25, :32 and 1:30 in their next three drives as they charged past the Roadrunners.
