Brown Earns AAC Freshman of the Week, Reynolds Lands on Honor Roll

IRVING, Texas (February 10, 2025) – CJ Brown received his third American Athletic Conference Freshman of the Week award. Jamille Reynolds was named to the AAC Weekly Honor Roll, announced by the American Athletic Conference on Monday.
 
Brown, who has been a walking highlight reel, earned his third AAC Freshman of the Week honor. Against Temple, he dished out a career-high 10 assists. He added eight points, five rebounds, one steal, and one block. He produced eight points, six assists, two rebounds, and two steals against Wichita State. Brown had 16 assists and three turnovers over his last two games. He is the first USF player with at least 15 assists and three or fewer turnovers in a two-game span since Anthony Collins from March 4-7, 2015 (16, zero).
 
Reynolds landed on the AAC Honor Roll for the second time this season. Against Temple, he became one of five NCAA Division I players since 2000-01 to record at least 25 points, 12 rebounds, and four blocked shots. He notched his sixth double-double of the season against Temple. Against Wichita State, he added an 18-point performance with six rebounds and tied a career-high with five blocked shots. For the week, he averaged 21.5 points and 9.0 rebounds. He tallied nine blocked shots.
