TAMPA, Fla, Feb. 15, 2025 – It will be a battle in Birmingham as the University of South Florida men's basketball team hits the road for an American Athletic Conference game with UAB. The Bulls (12-13, 5-7) and the Blazers (15-9, 8-3) will meet for the second time this season on Sunday, Feb. 16, at 4 p.m. ET on ESPN2.
Setting The Stage:
USF aims to avenge a previous home loss to UAB earlier this season. After a three-game homestand, South Florida is hitting the road for the first time in 14 days. The Blazers are 11-3 inside Bartow Arena.
Series History:
UAB leads the series 42-21. The Blazers have won the last five meetings with the Bulls, including a 92-83 victory in Tampa on Jan. 15. USF is 7-23 against UAB in Birmingham.
Note-A-Bull:
Jamille Reynolds has a team-best 12.5 points per game and 7.6 rebounds per game. He is 55th in the NCAA and second in the AAC with 5.91 defensive rebounds per contest. With six double-doubles, he is tied for 79th in the nation and tied for fourth in the conference. He leads the team with 36 blocks, which are tied for 94th in the NCAA and fifth in the AAC.

South Florida is 15th in the nation and third in the conference with 15.00 fastbreak points per game. The Bulls are 35th in the NCAA and third in the AAC, averaging 28.16 bench points per game. The USF bench has only been outscored six times this season, holding opponents to 19.56 bench points per game. The Bulls have held opponents to 31.6 percent from 3-point range. USF is tied for 78th in the NCAA and fourth in the AAC in 3-point defense.
