TAMPA, Fla., Feb. 18, 2025 – The University of South Florida softball team will play six games inside the USF Softball Stadium, beginning with Louisville on Wednesday, Feb. 19, at 6:30 p.m. South Florida (10-2) welcomes Michigan (5-4), Wisconsin (6-4), Louisville (7-3), Kent State (3-6), and Troy (7-3) for the South Florida Showdown on Friday, Feb. 21, through Sunday, Feb. 23. All of the USF games will be streamed on ESPN+.

Setting The Stage:
USF is coming off a perfect 5-0 showing at The Fonseca Memorial Tournament, where the Bulls knocked off the Penn State Nittany Lions twice. The Bulls are riding a seven-game winning streak. Sophomore infielder
Alex Wilkes was named the American Athletic Conference Player of the Week after a stellar week, while junior pitcher
Payton Dixon landed on the AAC Weekly Honor Roll.

Series History:
The Bulls and Cardinals will meet for the 47th time, and Louisville leads the series 27-19. South Florida and Michigan will play for the 32nd time, and the Wolverines lead the series 18-13. The Bulls will face the Badgers for the 12th time, and USF leads that series 8-3. South Florida leads the series against Kent State 4-1 and also holds the advantage over Troy with a 5-1 record.

In 2022, Georgina Corrick became the first player in softball history to earn the NCAA Pitching Triple Crown. She led the nation in ERA (0.51), Victories (37), and total strikeouts (418).
