PHILADELPHIA, Feb. 26, 2025 –
Jamille Reynolds was the leading scorer for the University of South Florida men's basketball team against Temple on Wednesday. Reynolds,
Jayden Reid, and Jimmie Willams finished in double digits, but the Bulls (13-16, 6-10) fell to the Owls (15-14, 7-9), 73-71, on a buzzer-beater.
Reynolds recorded his 19th game in double digits with a team-high 17 points. He tied for a team-high six rebounds with two assists and a game-high two blocks. Williams produced his eighth game in double figures with a 12-point performance. He added two rebounds. Reid tallied a 12-point effort, his 19th game with double figures. He tied for a team-high with three assists.
Kasen Jennings tied for the team lead with six rebounds to go along with five points and three assists.
Temple opened the game on an 8-2 run. The Bulls were unfazed and took a 14-13 lead after they outscored 8-2. Reynolds threw down his second dunk of the first half. The two sides continued to battle as USF held a 39-36 lead as the game went to the half.
South Florida shot 58-6 percent from the field and 42.9 percent from 3-point range. Reynolds and Williams finished the first half with 14 and 10 points, respectively.
The Owls started the second half with an 8-0 run and took a 44-39 lead. South Florida and Temple continued to battle back and forth, as neither team gained a lead of more than five points. USF held a three-point lead, 59-56, with 8:49 left in regulation.
Temple's Zion Stanford got a shot off with three seconds left on the clock, but
Kobe Knox was there for a huge block. Stanford managed to get the rebound and put up a second shot that beat the buzzer as Temple went on to win 73-71.
Stanford finished with a game-high 25 points to lead Temple. Matteo Picarelli added 11 points, while Aiden Tobiason chipped in with 10.

• The USF bench outscored the Temple bench 31-19. It is the 23rd time the South Florida bench has outscored its opponent's bench this season.
• The Bulls tallied nine steals and turned that into 20 points off turnovers.
