TAMPA (March 14)- The No. 23 University of South Florida Men's Tennis team (14-3) earn another win at home over UT Arlington (7-7) on Friday. The Bulls have won their last five matches and currently hold a 6-1 record at home.

The Bulls started strong by taking two of the three doubles courts. After dropping Court 1, Ben Hudson and Toto Llanes battled for a 7-5 win on Court 2. Ettore Danesi and Agustin Cuellar clinched the doubles point with a 6-4 win on Court 3.

The Bulls dominated in singles, taking all courts but one. No. 80  Hugo Car swiftly finished first on Court 1, with a 6-4, 6-1 win. Gughi Verdese, finishing nearly at the same time, delivered another 6-1, 6-1 swift win on Court 4. AAC Player of the Week, Llanes clinched the match for the Bulls on Court 5, with a 6-3, 6-2 triumph. Cuellar added another point with a 6-3, 6-3 victory on Court 2. Finally, Danesi wrapped it up on Court 6, with a 7-6 (9-7), 6-1 win.

South Florida has won 11 of their 12 past matches, including back-to-back ranked wins against No. 13 and No. 35. Car extends his singles win streak to 12 straight match wins, including a win over No. 11. Cuellar remains undefeated with a record of 12-0, and Verdese extends his win streak to six straight singles wins.
 
UP NEXT
The Bull will return home on Wednesday, March 19, for their first conference match of the 2025 season. South Florida will be hosting Tulsa (7-11) at 1:30 with the match being streamed on ESPN+. The last match-up between the two was at the American Athletic Conference tournament last year, hosted in Tulsa, Oklahoma. South Florida lost 2-4 to the Golden Hurricanes. The Bulls are 10-6 against Tulsa in match-up history.
