TAMPA, FLA. (March 19, 2025) - South Florida women's tennis team (5-12) dropped 2-4 to Wichita State (10-6) in a hard fought match at the USF Varsity Tennis Courts on Wednesday morning.
In doubles play, Court Two duo Melisa Senli/Dharani Niroshan dominated with a strong 6-3 victory over Wichita State duo Kris. Kudryavtseva/Theodora Chantava. It came down to a winner-take-all court in which Charlotte Ruud/Josefine Falster battled to a 6-4 match win to put the Bulls up 1-0 going into singles.
The Shockers captured the first singles victory as Anne Knuettel defeated Josefine Falster (6-2, 6-0). USF immediately responded with Charlotte Ruud picking up her fifth-straight home solo win over Giorgia Roselli (7-5, 6-3). The Shockers went on to capture three-straight singles courts to conclude the match winning 4-2.
