TAMPA, Fla., July 2, 2025 – University of South Florida Men's Soccer Head Coach
Bob Butehorn has announced his ninth recruiting class with the program.
USF's class ranks
No. 15 nationally according to Top Drawer Soccer rankings and first in the American Athletic Conference. The class features 15 new players, blending seven highly regarded true freshmen with eight experienced transfers, representing nine countries across five continents.
"Our staff did an exceptional job in recruiting a top-ranked group of recruits. They are highly accomplished both internationally and domestically", said Butehorn. This class comprises future professional players, proven collegiate standouts, and youth internationals who have already competed at a high level. Each player brings something unique that will elevate the standard of our program."
From MLS NEXT Pro and European academies, to All-Americans at the NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA and Prep levels. The class brings a blend of youth potential and proven experience.

Jacobo Cubillos González
Center Midfielder – Castellón B (Spain) / Cali, Colombia
Played two seasons in Spain's Tercera División for Castellón II, logging 19 appearances in 2023–24. His experience in senior-level European football brings maturity and composure to USF's midfield core.
Bence Stanciu
Striker – Vaughan SC / Toronto, Canada
Named to the First Touch Football Canada Spring Showdown U18 First Team in 2025. A standout Canadian forward with sharp instincts and physical presence, he brings goal-scoring pedigree from one of Ontario's top clubs. Previously attended Bill Crothers Secondary School.
Nicolas Pietrantonio
Center Back – CF Montréal U23 / Montreal, Quebec
A First Touch Football Canada Top 60 Recruit in 2024, Pietrantonio brings pro-level training and tactical intelligence from the CF Montréal academy system. Previously attended Laval Senior Academy. He earned a 2022 Canada Games Gold Medal.
Jakob Johannes Auby
Wide Forward – Sarpsborg 08 II / Sarpsborg, Norway
An electric winger from Norway's elite development league, Auby adds pace and 1v1 ability to USF's attacking options.
Dominic Wilson
Wide Forward – Nashville SC / Huntsville MLS NEXT Pro / PA Classics / Mechanicsburg, Pa.
Ranked No. 88 nationally by
TopDrawerSoccer, Wilson logged eight pro matches with Huntsville MLS Next PRO and owns three caps for Trinidad and Tobago's U17 national team. His blend of technical sharpness and athleticism makes him a key addition up top.
Joshua Grant
Goalkeeper – NY Red Bulls MLS NEXT / Lauderhill, Fla.
Ranked as the No. 145 overall player and No. 10 goalkeeper in the U.S. by
TopDrawerSoccer. Grant has received a senior national team call-up for Jamaica in January 2025. Also has multiple youth national team appearances for Jamaica at the U20 and U17 level, as well as an appearance at the USA U15 National Team Camp.
Luka Zujovic
Center Midfielder – Florida Premier ECNL / Tampa, Fla.
Ranked No. 159 overall nationally by
TopDrawerSoccer.. The 2023–24 ECNL All-American and Florida Conference U17 Player of the Year brings technical excellence and leadership as one of the top prep level midfielders in the nation.

Center Midfielder – UTRGV / Monroe College / Cape Town, South Africa
A 2022 NJCAA National Champion at Monroe College who brings experience and grit from two NCAA Division I seasons at UTRGV. Erickson has logged 36 collegiate appearances and 18 starts, and is a cerebral midfield presence.
Fabio Bozesan
Striker – FC Schweinfurt 05 / Würzburg, Germany
Bozesan joins the Bulls from Germany's FC Schweinfurt 05. A target forward with strong holdup play and a nose for the goal.
Fabian Hilpert
Wide Forward – Embry-Riddle / The Hague, Netherlands
2024 Sunshine State Conference Freshman of the Year and All-Conference Second Team honoree. Led Embry-Riddle with nine goals, including four game-winners — the most in the league, tallying on two assists. Appeared in 15 games with 14 starting assignments for Embry-Riddle
Brandon Nyagurungo
Wide Forward – Indiana Wesleyan / Harare, Zimbabwe
Three-time All-Crossroads League First-Team selection and a two-time NAIA All-American (First Team in 2024 and Second Team in 2023). Crowned Crossroads League Offensive Player of the Year in 2024, accumulating 13 goals and 15 assist during his Junior campaign. Scored 40 goals and recorded 24 assists over 59 matches at IWU, reaching the NAIA National Tournament Sweet 16 three straight seasons (2022-24). Also a member of the Zimbabwe U20 National Team.
João Belmudes
Attacking Midfielder – University of Charleston / Tubarão, Brazil
2023 United Soccer Coaches First Team and 2024 D2CCA First Team All-American. Helped lead Charleston to the 2024 NCAA DII National Championship match and tallied 30 goals with 15 assists in his career over 58 games played and 44 starts. Also led the Golden Eagles to a 2023 DII NCAA Tournament 2nd Round appearance and the 2022 DII NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 with Charleston.
Jahiem Wickham
Goalkeeper – Syracuse / Brampton, Ontario
Enrolled at USF in the spring of 2025. Started 13 of 14 games as a redshirt freshman for Syracuse, earning 2023 team Rookie of the Year honors. Reached the 2023 NCAA DI NCAA Tournament 2nd Round with the Orange. A Toronto FC Academy product with international experience (2 caps) for Trinidad and Tobago's U20 national team.
Kohsuke Fukudome
Center Back – Cowley College / Chiba, Japan
2024 NJCAA Second-Team All-American and KJCCC Defensive Player of the Year. Helped lead Cowley to the 2024 NJCAA National Championship final after becoming regular-season district champions, furthering his appearance in the tournament the year prior.
Marcellus McCoy
Outside Back / Center Back – Eastern Florida State College / Lakeland, Fla.
Anchored a defense that reached the NJCAA Tournament in 2023 and 2024, reaching the 2024 Final Four after becoming Region 8 Champions. Region 8 Second Team selection with a proven record of consistency and athleticism in multiple defensive roles.

ABOUT USF MEN'S SOCCER
USF Men's Soccer competed in the school's first-ever intercollegiate athletic contest on Sept. 25, 1965, beating Florida Southern 4-3. Since then, the oldest program on campus has built a winning tradition, claiming 14 conference championships and making 22 NCAA Tournament appearances, including three trips to the Elite Eight.
The program also has a strong reputation within the professional game and boasts 30 MLS draft picks. Notable alumni include two-time MLS Golden Boot winner Jeff Cunningham, USA 1994 World Cup star Roy Wegerle, and 2013 MLS Cup winner Dom Dwyer. Men's Soccer has three Alumni and a coach in the USF Athletics Hall of Fame: Fergus Hopper, Jeff Attinella, Jeff Cunningham & Dan Holcomb.
