TAMPA, Fla. (September 28, 2025) – The University of South Florida women's soccer team returned home to Corbett Stadium for an American Conference matchup with Tulsa. The Bulls (6-5-1, 2-1-1 American) tied the Golden Hurricane (6-3-4, 1-1-2 American) 3-3 on Sunday afternoon.
The Bulls got on the board early and dominated the first half. The goal scorers for USF were
Sadie Sider-Echenberg,
Emily Lemke, and
Gentiana Fetaj.
Sider-Echenberg started off the action in just the third minute, scoring a strike to the upper 90. She was assisted by Fetaj, giving Fetaj her sixth assist of the season, and Sider-Echenberg her fourth goal of the season.
Just four minutes later, in the seventh minute, Tulsa answered the Bulls goal as Jordan Frederick scored, assisted by Kaylyn Simmons.
In the 13th minute, USF took back the lead, 2-1, with a goal by Lemke. The ball was deflected off the Tulsa goalkeeper, Tatum Sanders. This is Lemke's second goal of the season for the Bulls.
With just a few minutes until halftime in the 42nd minute, Fetaj scored her third goal of the season. Brenna Rowlett of Tulsa kicked the ball off Fetaj's right foot, arching a shot into the goal. The Bulls took the 3-1 lead into halftime.
Tulsa fought back and made it a 3-2 game in the 56th minute. This was the second goal of the match for Jordan Frederick, this time assisted by Addison Castleberry.
With just five minutes remaining, the Golden Hurricane tied the game 3-3 with a goal from Addison Castleberry, assisted by Jordan Frederick. It would remain 3-3 for the remainder of the match.
Gaby Rourke started and played the full 90 minutes in goal for the Bulls. She had two saves on the day.
