Knight, Plascencia Lead USF Women’s Golf to a Second-Place Finish at the Pat Bradley Invitational

Tiphani Knight and Regina Plascencia recorded their career lows for a tournament and tied for sixth

MIAMI (September 30, 2025) – The University of South Florida women's golf team finished in second place at the Pat Bradley Invitational in Miami, Florida, on Tuesday. Tiphani Knight and Regina Plascencia led the team and tied for sixth.
 
Knight put together a solid performance across three rounds. She finished with a 219 (+3) for the tournament and tied for sixth. She opened with a round of 75 (+3) before she bounced back in the second round with a 71 (-1). She recorded four birdies on the first day. In the final round, she recorded four birdies and posted a 73 (+1). She produced eight birdies for the tournament.
 
Plascencia ended the tournament tied for sixth with a 219 (+3). She began the tournament with a 74 (+2). She cut a stroke off in round two and finished with a 73 (+1). She ended the tournament with an even-par 72. She tallied six birdies across the three rounds.
 
Alice Webb competed as an individual and recorded a career round on day two with a 69 (-3). She recorded four birdies for the final round. She jumped 21 spots on the leaderboard and finished the tournament tied for 11th with a 221 (+5). For the tournament, she tallied eight birdies.
 
Matylda Krawczynska notched three birdies in the final round and finished with a 73 (+1). She posted a three-round total of 222 (+6) and tied for 14th. She collected five birdies for the tournament. Annabel Collis finished just outside the top 25 in a tie for 26th. She produced four birdies across the three rounds.
 
Cherry Marley recorded the lowest round of the tournament with a 68 (-4) and went bogie-free. For the tournament, she led the Bulls with nine birdies. Holly McLean recorded four birdies in the final round and finished the day with a 71 (-1). Emma Kim produced a final-round score of 73 (+1) with three birdies. She had four birdies for the tournament.
 
The Bulls head to their next tournament in Nassau, The Bahamas, at the White Sands Bahamas Invitational. The tournament will take place from October 24 to 26.

Tampa native AJ Newell, a former LPGA Tour player and NCAA All-American, enters her second season as head coach of the USF women's golf team. In her first season, she coached Leonor Medeiros to the American All-Conference Team. Newell coached the Bulls to four top 10 finishes in the 2024-25 season.
 
Newell took over leadership of the Bulls' program following a successful three-year stint as assistant coach at the University of Michigan, where she helped guide the Wolverines to three straight NCAA Regional appearances, a 2022 Big Ten title, and a trip to the 2022 NCAA Championship Finals.
