The Bulls improved to 47-0 when scoring 90 points or more since the start of the 2000-01 season

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (January 10, 2026) – Katie Davidson tied a season high in points as the University of South Florida women's basketball team finished with five players in double digits against Memphis on Saturday. The Bulls (10-7, 3-1 American) scored 90 points for the third time this season in the 90-81 victory over the Tigers (7-10, 1-3 American).

South Florida is a perfect 47-0 since 2000-01 when scoring at least 90 points. The Bulls are one of 11 DI teams with at least 45 wins in such games over that period. USF has had five players score in double figures in three of the last four contests.

Davidson recorded her 10th game in double figures and her second-straight game with at least 20 points. She finished with 20 points to go along with three assists, one blocked shot, and one rebound. Edyn Battle posted a 16-point performance, her eighth game in double digits. She added four assists and two rebounds. L'or Mputu recorded her seventh game in double figures with a 15-point effort. She tied for a game-high eight rebounds and added one steal.

Carla Brito produced 14 points, her fifth game in double digits this season. She tied for a game-high eight rebounds with four assists and a game-high three steals. Fatou Diakite posted her fifth game in double figures with a 10-point performance. She tied for a game-high eight rebounds and added one block. Stefanie Ingram dished out a game-high 13 assists, which tied a career high. It is the second time this season she has recorded double-digit assists. Her 13 assists are tied for the fifth most in program history.

As a team, the Bulls shot 50.0 percent from the field and 41.7 percent from 3-point range. South Florida outscored Memphis 54-42 with points in the paint. USF held the advantage 23-17 in fast break points.

How It Happened
The game opened with the two sides trading buckets. Battle and Brito each scored four points as the game was tied 8-8, midway through the first quarter. The Bulls continued to fight and held a 14-12 lead after one. Kirsten Lewis-Williams provided a spark with a strong finish at the rim despite being fouled.

Diakite got the scoring started in the second quarter with a huge and-1. After the two sides battled back and forth, Davidson scored eight straight points for the Bulls. She knocked down two 3-pointers and gave the Bulls a 35-29 lead with just under a minute left in the stanza. The Tigers scored two points before halftime, but the Bulls led 35-31 at the break.

The Bulls scored the first four points of the third, including a fast break layup by Brito. Mputu got out in transition and scored on a fast break, despite being fouled. USF held a 45-37 lead midway through the third. South Florida outscored Memphis 14-12 for the remainder of the quarter. Ingram knocked down a huge 3-pointer during that stretch. USF took a 59-48 lead into the fourth.

The Bulls and the Tigers traded baskets to open the fourth. The Bulls utilized the fast break and a few clutch 3-pointers to keep the Tigers from getting back into the game. South Florida went on to win the game 90-81.

Daejah Richmond led Memphis with a game-high 24 points. Chae Harris chipped in with 13 points, while Tamya Smith had 12 points. Paris Gaines tied for a game-high eight rebounds.
