TAMPA, Fla., Jan. 30, 2026 – The University of South Florida Men's Tennis team is heading to the West Coast to compete in a two-match road trip. They will begin at UC Santa Barbara on Sunday, Feb. 1 at 3 p.m., before traveling south to face Pepperdine on Tuesday, Feb. 3 at 5 p.m.
The Bulls will be looking to continue building momentum early in the spring season, with recent performances showcasing depth and competitiveness across the lineup. USF has battled through tight matches and gained valuable experience against quality opponents, setting the stage for another challenging weekend away from home.
The Bulls recently earned a 4–0 win over Washington and pushed No. 4 Texas through multiple close matches and tiebreakers, showing their ability to compete at a high level early in the season.
Sunday's contest against UC Santa Barbara presents a strong test against the Gauchos. The two programs have split four all-time meetings, with South Florida earning a narrow 4–3 win in the most recent matchup. Pepperdine offers another high-level challenge against a nationally respected program on Tuesday. The Bulls hold a 6–1 advantage in the all-time series, including wins in six of the last seven meetings, several of which were decided by 4–3 margins.
The two-match stretch will provide USF with important road experience as the Bulls continue to prepare for conference play, looking to translate their competitive mindset into results as the spring slate continues.

Head coach Ashley Fisher is in his ninth year at the helm of the program for the 2024-25 season. Fischer has guided the Bulls to four NCAA Tournaments, including three trips to the second round. He was named the American Athletic Conference Coach of the Year in 2017 & 2019 after leading USF to the conference title in each of those seasons.
