USF Women's Tennis Continue Home Stand vs. Georgia State this Saturday

February 12, 2026

TAMPA, Fla., February 12, 2026 — The University of South Florida women's tennis team returns to the court on Saturday for a Valentine's Day showdown against Georgia State at the USF Varsity Tennis Courts.

The Bulls enter the matchup riding momentum after a strong 5-2 victory over Stetson. USF secured the doubles point and followed it up with four singles wins, showcasing depth throughout the lineup and the ability to close out courts across the board. The win marked another positive step for the Bulls as they continue to build chemistry as they continue in the spring slate.

Against Georgia State, South Florida will look to carry that confidence into both doubles and singles play. The doubles point has proven to be a key factor for the Bulls, setting the tone and creating early pressure heading into singles competition.

In singles, USF has demonstrated resilience and balance throughout the lineup, with players stepping up in key moments and delivering in tight matches. That depth will be important against a competitive Panthers squad that has traditionally brought strong energy and fight into nonconference matchups.

Since 2012, the Bulls have split four matches with the Panthers, winning two and falling in two. The last time the teams met was over a decade ago in 2015. South Florida will look to bring in another win at their new facility, and keep the momentum high as they prepare for conference play.

First serve is set for noon at the USF Varsity Tennis Courts.
