USF Women's Tennis Begin Conference Play in New Orleans vs. UTSA, Tulane

February 18, 2026

TAMPA, Fla., February 18, 2026 – Coming off a dominant 4–0 sweep of Georgia State Panthers, the Bulls hit the road this weekend for a pair of matches in New Orleans against UTSA Roadrunners and Tulane Green Wave. The shutout victory over Georgia State showcased the team's depth and efficiency, as strong doubles play and composed singles performances secured the result without surrendering a point.

The weekend opens against UTSA, a conference opponent known for competing hard across the lineup. Establishing control early in doubles will be critical, as securing the opening point can shift momentum and allow the Bulls to play more freely in singles. Looking to redeem themselves from the last time the teams played, Consistency on serve and the ability to capitalize on break opportunities will be key factors in setting the tone for South Florida. The Bulls will face the roadrunners at noon EST on Saturday.

The trip concludes with a matchup against Tulane on its home courts, at 1pm on Sunday. Playing in New Orleans presents a challenge, and the Green Wave traditionally battle deep into matches. With a strong 4–0 win versus the Green Wave last year, and a 7–5 over all record, South Florida looks to continue their momentum against a familiar opponent. The Bulls will look to rely on the same disciplined shot selection and composure under pressure that carried them to the 4–0 win in their last outing.

With momentum on their side and conference play heating up, the Bulls aim to carry their recent form into a strong weekend on the road.
