USF Women's Tennis came up short against Tulane University, but the Bulls showed strong doubles play and competed in several tight singles sets throughout the match.
USF found early success in doubles. Amelie Drukerova and Josefine Falster earned a solid 6-3 win at No. 2, playing clean and aggressive from the start. Francesca Miglio and Melisa Senli followed with a dominant 6-1 victory at No. 3, giving the Bulls two strong performances to open the day. The match with Sienna Leeson and Margherita Marcon was left unfinished.
In singles, the Bulls continued to battle. Margherita Marcon pushed her first set to 7-5, while Francesca Miglio fought in a competitive opening set. Across the lineup, several first sets were tightly contested, with long rallies and narrow game margins keeping pressure on every court. Josefine Falster forced a third set at No. 5, and Amelie Drukerova extended her match to three sets as well, showing resilience deep into the afternoon.Â
While the final score did not go USF's way, the doubles wins and competitive singles efforts reflected a team that stayed engaged and fought for every point. The Bulls will return to Tampa to play Charlotte, on February 27th at 2pm.
