TAMPA, Fla., Feb. 5, 2026 – The USF Women's Tennis team return to Tampa to play their first matches on new home courts, hosting the FGCU Eagles at the USF Varsity Tennis Courts on Feb. 6, 2026 at 1pm. They will then compete against UNF at 12pm on Saturday, Feb. 7.
The Bulls enter the home opener weekend looking to continue building momentum early in the spring season, with recent matches highlighting strength across the roster. USF has shown balance throughout the lineup, with new players Amelie Drukerova and Francesca Miglio gaining match experience with the Bulls, as the team continues to settle into its singles order and doubles combinations.
With dominant recent performances by Melisa Senli and Sienna Leeson, who both had straight set singles wins at the Tampa Cup, the Bulls will look to establish rhythm at the top of the lineup and continue that energy across the rest of their matches.
In doubles action, South Florida has experimented with pairings early in the year, including productive combinations that have already picked up crucial wins. At the end of January, the Bulls went 11-1 in doubles play across three days at the Tampa Cup.
USF brings a strong history into the match up against FGCU, owning an 11–3 all-time record and a perfect 7–0 mark at home in the series. The Bulls have consistently defended their home courts against the Eagles, including a 7–0 victory in Tampa last season. Versus UNF, South Florida has a 12-5 record, with a 7-3 home court record.
Behind a brand-new facility with 10 courts and a cutting-edge scoreboard system, South Florida aims to make the most of its home-court advantage with a strong showing in its new home.
