How it Happened
After Stefanie Ingram scored the first basket of the game, UTSA went on a 6-0 run over the next 3:15. South Florida shot 4-for-15 (26.7%) from the field in the first quarter, as UTSA led 14-9 after 10 minutes.

South Florida briefly took the lead, 21-20, after a L'or Mputu layup with 3:06 remaining in the first half. However, UTSA responded with a 10-1 run to end the half and did not relinquish the lead for the rest of the game. The Roadrunners led 30-22 at halftime.

UTSA extended its lead to 11 at the 8:14 mark in the third quarter, but USF answered with a 6-0 run in the next 2:11 to cut the deficit to five. The Roadrunners led 44-36 at the end of the third quarter.

The Bulls had a strong start in the final quarter, going on a 7-2 run before the Roadrunners called a timeout. South Florida cut the deficit to two with two Edyn Battle free throws at the 4:44 mark, but that would be as close as the Bulls would get.
