TAMPA, Fla. – March. 6, 2026 – The University of South Florida men's basketball team (22–8, 14-3) returns to the Yuengling for the final regular-season game and Senior Day, hosting Charlotte (15-15, 9-8) on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET.
South Florida has clinched the outright American Conference regular season championship and No. 1 seed for the second time in program history. Join us Sunday for Senior Day recognitions pre-game and trophy presentation followed by net-cutting after the game.

The Bulls enter the matchup with a NET ranking of 50, KenPom rating of 54 and BPI of 54. The 49ers have a KenPom rating of 186, BPI of 189 and NET ranking of 178.
South Florida is No. 1 in the American Conference and Charlotte sits at No. 6.
South Florida ranks No. 1 in the American in six team stat categories, including points per game (88.5), while Charlotte ranks eighth in the conference (73.7).
South Florida also leads the conference in opponent field goal percentage (.418), rebounds per game (42.8), offensive rebounds (15.4), defensive rebounds (27.4) and assists (17.13).
Series History
Sunday marks the 58th all-time meeting, and first this season, between South Florida and Charlotte. The teams last met on Jan. 22, 2025, in Charlotte, North Carolina, where the Bulls narrowly fell 61-69.
Last Time Out
South Florida secured the outright American Conference regular-season championship with a 96-89 win at Memphis on Wednesday. With the win, the Bulls recorded the 750th victory in program history and set a program record with their ninth road win of the season.
The victory also clinched the No. 1 seed in the American Conference Tournament and tied the third-most wins in a single season in program history.

Following the regular-season finale, the Bulls head to Birmingham, Ala., for the American Conference Championship, scheduled for March 11–15 at Legacy Arena at the BJCC. As the conference's No. 1 seed, South Florida will open play in the semifinal round on Saturday, March 14.

About USF Men's Basketball
South Florida men's basketball named Bryan Hodgson, 37, as the program's 12th head coach on March 24, 2025. Hodgson came to Tampa from Arkansas State, where he led the program to back-to-back 20-win seasons and its first postseason appearance since 1999 in his two seasons at the helm.
The program, entering its 55th season in 2025-26, most recently won the American Athletic Conference regular season championship in 2023-24 and has made 13 postseason appearances, including three NCAA Tournaments, nine NITs, and a CBI championship in 2019. Three former Bulls – Chucky Atkins, Charlie Bradley, and Rodenko Dobras – have had their jerseys retired and are members of the USF Athletic Hall of Fame. The Bulls play their home games at the 10,400-seat Yuengling Center on the USF Tampa campus.
