USF Women’s Basketball Signs Estonian National Team Forward Lisandra Vetesina

TAMPA, Fla. (May 23, 2026) – The South Florida women's basketball team has signed Estonian national team forward Lisandra Vetesina, head coach Kristy Curry announced on Saturday.
 
"We are so excited to welcome Lisandra to our Bulls family! She brings great versatility, size and skill on the perimeter," Curry said. "She will fit perfectly into our system and style of play. We are thrilled to welcome her to Tampa Bay's Home for Hoops!"
 
Vetesina, a 6-foot-2 guard from Estonia, will join the program as a freshman. She competed for the U18 Estonian national team in 2025.
 
During the 2025 FIBA U18 Women's EuroBasket tournament, Vetesina averaged 7.3 points, 7.1 rebounds, 2.9 blocks, 1.9 assists, and 1.6 steals per game. She recorded a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds, along with two blocks and a steal against the Netherlands. The forward registered 10 points, nine rebounds, three steals, and two blocks in the quarterfinals against Sweden.
 
Vetesina recorded five blocks in two contests and at least one block in every tournament game. She also posted three steals in two games.
 
At the 2023 FIBA U16 Women's European Championship, Vetesina averaged 4.3 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.7 steals per game for Estonia. She finished with nine points, 12 rebounds, and two steals against Ukraine. The forward recorded eight points, eight rebounds, four assists, and three steals against Norway.
 
Vetesina registered three steals in two games during the European Championship.
