Brooke Fabri, Sophia Cabral, and Yui Suetsugu earn spots on the American Watch List
IRVING, Texas. July 31, 2026 – The American Conference announced its annual Women's Soccer Preseason Coaches' Poll and the Women's Soccer Watch List on Friday. The University of South Florida women's soccer team was voted to finish fourth by the coaches in the conference. Sophia Cabral, Brooke Fabri, and Yui Suetsugu earned spots on the watch list.
South Florida returns 10 players from the 2025 squad with the addition of 18 newcomers.
Senior midfielder/forward, Suetsugu returns after earning a spot on the American Conference Second Team honors in 2025. She recorded four points on one goal and two assists while emerging as one the Bulls' top midfielders.
Junior midfielder, Fabri appeared in 15 matches, logging 1,283 minutes while placing four of her seven shots on goal.
Junior forward, Cabral returns after tallying two points on one goal during the 2025 campaign.

Chris Brown enters his third season as USF head coach after a record-setting debut in 2024, leading the Bulls to 12 wins and coaching both the American Athletic Conference Midfielder and Goalkeeper of the Year. Brown spent 17 years as associate head coach (2007–2023), helping USF to three American Athletic Conference titles, eight NCAA appearances, and a 10-year streak of 10+ win seasons. He coached USF's first All-American, Evelyne Viens, now a Hall of Famer and Olympic gold medalist, and has developed multiple American Athletic Conference award winners. Players under his guidance hold most of the program's records.
