South Florida Women’s Tennis Set to Host Bedford Cup

Bulls welcome eight Florida programs to Tampa for three days of competition
TAMPA, Fla., September 23, 2026 – The University of South Florida women's tennis team returns to action this weekend as the Bulls host the Bedford Cup, Sept. 25-27, in Tampa.
The three-day tournament brings together a competitive field of programs from across Florida.
South Florida will compete alongside Florida State, Florida International, Stetson, Florida Gulf Coast, Florida A&M, North Florida, Florida Atlantic and UCF. Competition begins at 9 a.m. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Six Bulls will see action throughout the weekend, with Josefine Falster, Zoe Lazar, Margherita Marcon, Francesca Miglio, Paulina Montiel and Loana Vargas representing South Florida.
The tournament marks South Florida's second event of the fall after opening the season at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic, Sept. 11-13.
Following this weekend's competition, the Bulls will travel to Miami for the ITA Regionals, Oct. 8-11.

About South Florida Women's Tennis
Head coach Cristina Moros enters her 12th season leading the South Florida women's tennis program in 2026-27. A former collegiate national champion and four-time All-American, Moros has made the Bulls one of the region's premier programs. She was named the 2017 American Athletic Conference Coach of the Year after guiding South Florida to its first conference championship.
