2021: Appeared in 11 matches on the year, including seven starts...logged 712 minutes total on the year, with at least four games of at least 90 minutes of game time.
2020: Was one of four players on the Bulls’ roster to earn postseason American Athletic Conference honors following the 2020 season, being named to the AAC All-Rookie team … Was also named to The American weekly Honor Roll (March 8) … Played in all 10 of USF’s 10 games, earning the starting nod in the last eight … Finished the season tied for third in points scored with four on two goals … In addition, he was sixth on the team in shots with seven, and tied for fifth in shots on goal with four … Netted his first career-goal – also the game-winner – in a 2-1 victory over No. 22 Tulsa (March 6) … Followed that up two matches later with a goal at No. 17 SMU (March 20) in a 3-2 setback.
Before USF: A midfielder, Schaefer attended Fletcher High School in Atlantic Beach, Fla., where he earned a host of honors while playing for the Senators … In 2018, Schaefer was named First Team All-City by the Florida Times Union in addition to the All-First Coast team … He also was a First Team All-Gateway Conference selection and voted the Fletcher boys soccer most valuable player … He helped guide the Senators to the FHSAA Class 4A state championship match … Schaefer played his club soccer for the Jacksonville Armada, where he earned 20 starts in 23 matches played, and scoring two goals during the 2018-19 season.
