Cross Country 

  • Recorded his season best 8k time of 27:02.27 at the American Athletic Conference Championship.

  • Finished with a 10k time of 34:57.73 at the NCAA South Regional, finishing 135th overall.

PRIOR TO USF: As a senior at Pembroke Pines Charter High School, was first team All-Broward County in cross country and second team all-county as member of the 4x800m relay team... Achieved personal bests in four races as a senior; 51.1 (400m), 1:57.1 (800m), 4:24 (1,600m), 15:45 (5K)... Also competed in soccer all four years at Pembroke Pines Charter.

PERSONAL: Born May 20, 1997 in Mar Del Plata, Argentina... Son of Martin Gimenez and Nancy Beron... Has one brother, Alan... Started running when his mother threw him in a 5K at age 11 and fell in love with the sport, but then had different feelings when he ran a half-marathon that same year... Plans to major in physical therapy
