To be eligible and have the opportunity to earn a scholarship, you must be enrolled as a full-time student at USF (at least 12 credit hours each semester) and maintain a 2.5 GPA. Our program is well-known for having excellent academic standings. In the fall of 2024, our team GPA average was 3.77.
Our program is a year-long commitment. Our season starts virtually in May, in-person in July/August, and comes to an end in April. During the school year, we practice twice a week in the evenings and add regular Sunday practices in the spring semester. Team members are required to attend workouts twice a week with our Strength and Conditioning Coach. Throughout the week, dancers also attend games and appearances. Being a collegiate athlete is a large commitment with high mental, emotional, and physical demands; however, it’s very rewarding. The balance between school and dance team can be difficult at certain times of the season, but with time management and maintained communication with professors and coaches, some stress can be alleviated.
