Rosemary Piedmont

Rosemary began with the University of South Florida Athletic Academic Services in January 2012.  In her current role as Assistant Director – Football Academics, Rosemary works with the Men’s Football team, Men’s Baseball team, Men and Women’s Track and Field teams and Men and Women’s Cross Country teams to support student-athletes to be successful in the classroom while balancing their athletic responsibilities.  She also is active in connecting the campus community to athletics through several initiatives that include Orientation, Parent Support, Campus Partners and Faculty Appreciation.  Rosemary began in this field at Florida State University where she worked first as a tutor and then as a graduate assistant in Athletic Academic Services working with the freshman football student-athletes and as the tutor coordinator.  After taking time to raise her family, Rosemary returned to the field in 2012 here at USF as an Assistant Academic Coordinator supporting football and other various sports before becoming the Academic Coordinator for several different teams over the years.    
 
Rosemary earned her Bachelor degree in English Literature with a minor in Communications as well as her Master of Science degree in Physical Education, Athletic Administration, from Florida State University.  She is currently pursuing her Ph. D. in Curriculum and Instruction in Higher Education at the University of South Florida.  
 
Rosemary is married to Jack Piedmont and has three children; Meg, Will and Ellen Claire.  When not reading and writing for her Ph.D., she enjoys her Mini-Aussie dog, Mackinac, and planning trips to the family cabin on the Upper Peninsula of Michigan as well as to back home in Mississippi.
