A defensive line transfer that joined the Bulls in January of 2024 after transferring from Charlotte…the No. 1 ranked junior college prospect in 2020, he will be playing on his sixth team since 2019… began his career at Independence CC before moving to Auburn (2 seasons), Liberty, Michigan State and Charlotte in following seasons…has played in 40 games and recorded 91 tackles at the Division I level.

2024 (CHARLOTTE): Played in 11 games with six starts and totaled 30 tackles, 5.0 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks and a forced fumble…had a tackle in 10 of 11 games and a tackle for loss in four…had a season-high six tackles and a sack at Memphis (12/26)…posted four tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and a sack at North Carolina (9/7)…had four tackles vs. James Madison…posted three stops and a TFL at Navy (10/19).

2023 (MICHIGAN STATE): Logged nine stops (one solo, eight assists) in the first three games of the season (Central Michigan, Richmond, Washington) . . . played 52 snaps on defense . . . missed last nine games due to injury . . . notched three tackles in playing 23 snaps in the Washington game . . . registered three tackles (three assists) with 0.5 TFL in Richmond game, playing 14 snaps . . . made Spartan debut in season-opener vs. Central Michigan, tallying three tackles, including 0.5 tackle for loss (1 yard), in 15 snaps.

2022 (LIBERTY): Played in all 13 games for the Flames . . . recorded 23 tackles, including two for losses (4 yards) and 1.5 sacks (3 yards) . . . played a total of 304 snaps on defense . . . posted a season-high seven tackles in the season-opening win over Southern Miss . . . registered four tackles in the win over Old Dominion . . . had three tackles against both UAB and Arkansas . . . joined the Flames as a mid-year enrollee and participated in spring practice.

2021 (AUBURN): Appeared in just four games to preserve his redshirt season . . . played 28 snaps on defense; recorded six tackles . . . posted four stops against Ole Miss.

2020 (AUBURN): Played in nine games, including a start in the Citrus Bowl against Northwestern . . . played 186 snaps on defense; registered 14 tackles and two TFLs . . . credited with a 6-yard tackle for loss vs. Mississippi State . . . had a season-high five tackles vs. Tennessee.

2019 (INDEPENDENCE COMMUNITY COLLEGE): Racked up 66 tackles, 22 TFLs (105 yards) and 11.5 sacks (84 yards) at ICC under Coach Kiyoshi Harris . . . ranked tied for second nationally in TFLs and tied for fourth in sacks . . . also had two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries . . . helped the Pirates win the KJCCC title . . . two-time conference defensive player of the week . . . second-team All-KJCCC honoree . . . had seven TFLs, five sacks and 13 tackles overall in win over Iowa Central Community College on Oct. 26 . . . ranked the No. 1 junior college prospect in the country by Rivals in 2020 and No. 4 by 247Sports

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for Coach Terrance Banks at Newton High School in Covington, Georgia . . . recorded 50 tackles, 20 TFLs and eight sacks as a senior . . . first-team Region 8-7A honoree . . . also played varsity basketball.

PERSONAL: The son of Eric Butler and Ruby Turner…earned his undergraduate degree at Liberty.
