PRIOR TO USF: Was a left-handed relief pitcher at Eckerd College for two seasons… made six appearances out of the bullpen as a sophomore in 2019… made seven relief appearances as a freshman in 2018 and was named to the SSC Spring Commissioner's Honor Roll.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Episcopal School of Jacksonville... was a multi-sport athlete, lettering in football, baseball, and soccer...earned the MVP Award in baseball and was named to the all-state team in football… posted a 0.66 ERA in his senior baseball season with 34 strikeouts while also registered a .302 batting average.

PERSONAL: Born on Feb. 1...parents are Pete and Lisa Schlegel...hobbies include fishing, surfing and working out...favorite athlete is Clayton Kershaw...favorite team is the Los Angeles Dodgers.
