Max Wittenberg, hired in April 2025, is entering his first season as the University of South Florida men’s basketball team’s video coordinator.
Wittenberg previously served as a graduate assistant under head coach Nate Oats at the University of Alabama. In that role, he broke down game and practice film, created opponent scouting reports, and compiled analytics to assist the coaching staff in game planning and player development. He also helped organize and operate youth summer basketball camps. During his two seasons in Tuscaloosa, the Crimson Tide advanced to their first Final Four in program history and reached the Elite Eight.
Prior to his time at Alabama, Wittenberg spent four years as a student manager for the University of Michigan men’s basketball program under head coach Juwan Howard. While at Michigan, the Wolverines won a Big Ten championship and made Sweet 16 and Elite Eight appearances.
Wittenberg, a native of Bloomfield, Michigan, earned a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree in sport management from the University of Alabama.
