2026 Kentucky Gatorade Player of the Year

HIGH SCHOOL: Named 2026 Kentucky Mr. Basketball and Kentucky Gatorade Player of the Year while playing for Madison Central High School...led Madison to a 30-4 record and No. 1 regular season ranking posting 30 double-doubles and averaging 20.7 points, 13.0 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.8 blocks per game...he shot 57.6 percent from the field and had 27 three-pointers....named the 2026 11^th Region Player of the Year...led his high school teams to three district titles and a runner-up finish....began his career at Mason County where he averaged 13 points and 7.9 rebounds and shot 60 percent from the floor as a sophomore, leading his team to a district title...he is a two-time second team all-state golfer and regional player of the year... he helped Mason County to a regional and 2A sectional title in golf and finished tied for 16th place in the 2024 state golf championship...also competed in the American Junior Golf Association and scored top five in the AJGA leading to a full exemption for open AJGA tournaments...played club basketball for Indiana Elite 3SSB...rated No. 185 nationally by Prep Hoops.

PERSONAL: Comes from a basketball playing and coaching family with deep Kentucky roots...his grandfather, Allen Sr., played for Adolph Rupp at Kentucky from 1959-62 and was head coach at Russell County and Mason County High Schools for decades... his father, Deron, was the 1987 Kentucky Gatorade Player of the Year and went on to score 1,232 points for Kentucky as a member of the Wildcats “Unforgettables” team in the 1991-92 season, helping lead the Wildcats to an iconic 1992 NCAA Elite Eight game vs. Duke... his uncle, Allen Jr., has more than 750 career wins as a high school coach in Kentucky and coached him at Madison Central High School...another uncle, Willie, played at Morehead State and went into high school coaching in the state...his cousin, Ashton, is the women’s head coach at Morehead State.
