2008-09:  Played in 27 of 31 games, starting 25... Finished second on the team in scoring at 12.2 per game... Missed the 1/20 DePaul game with a concussion suffered during the 1/17 West Virginia game, the 2/21 game at UConn, 3/1 game vs. WVU and 3/3 game vs. Cincinnati with Plantar Fasciitis, Achilles Tendonitis and a bruised talus...  Matched his career high with 26 points 12/21 vs. Wright State, hitting 7-12 shots and 5-9 3-pointers... Also matched his career high with seven free throws made... Had team-high 18 points 12/22 vs. Oral Roberts... Was named to the San Juan Shootout All-Tournament team, the only Bull recognized... Was playing in front of his family for the first time as a collegian... Set a new career high for the second time this season with 26 points 12/3 at UAB... Connected on 10 of 20 shots and 6 of 12 from 3-point range... His 10 field goals also set a new career mark for the second time this season and his six 3-pointers established a new career high... Scored in double figures 8 of the last 9 games and in 19 of 30 on the year... Started 11/9 season opener vs. Cleveland State and was second on squad in scoring with 17 points, including 2-4 from 3-pt range... Added 4 rebounds... Came off the bench against Norfolk St. (12/17) to contribute career-high 20 points in USF debut... Shot 8-of-13 from the field and also had three assists... Chipped in 10 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists against TAMU-CC (12/18)... Tallied 14 points against UNLV (12/19)... Shot 4-of-6 from the field en route to 15-point effort in the win over Wake Forest (12/29)... 12 points and 3 assists at Pittsburgh (1/7)... Shot 5-of-10 from the field... Contributed 10 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists off the bench against West Virginia (1/17)... Collected 10 points against Rutgers (1/24)... Nine points and 3 rebounds against Marquette (1/28)... Averaged 7.0 points and 1.5 rebounds per game... Earned second letter, first at USF.

2005-06:  Redshirted after transferring mid-year from the University of Arizona.

Summer 2005:  Member of Puerto Rican national team that finished seventh at the 2005 FIBA Under-21 World Championships for Men (Aug. 5-14) in Argentina... Averaged 11.9 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game... Reached double figures in points in 6-of-8 outings... Netted 19 points against Slovenia in the seventh-place game.

2004-05:  Appeared in 26 games as a reserve for Arizona... Averaged 2.3 points and 0.4 rebounds per game... Career-high 8 points against Eastern Washington (12/28)... Saw action in a pair of NCAA Tournament contests... Earned first letter.

High School:  No. 23 overall prep prospect by hoopscooponline.com ... Attended The Winchendon (Mass.) School as a fifth-year prep ... Averaged 22.9 points per game, helping program to 32-5 record and New England Preparatory School Athletic Council championship... Also played at Christian High School in Miami... Averaged 28.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists as a senior in 2002-03... Helped squad to state title as junior... Team posted 37-2 record that year and was ranked as high as No. 2 in the country... Totaled 40 points in the postseason, earning all-tournament accolades... Concluded two-year career as the school's all-time leading scorer (2,152 points).

Son of Garionex Verdejo and Juana Santana... Full name is Jesus R. Verdejo... Former Golden Gloves champion boxer in Puerto Rico, going unbeaten to win the Under-15 age group.
