A transfer guard who will be 24 years old at the start of the 2026-27 season, his sixth collegiate season...came to South Florida from Vanderbilt, but began his career playing at Louisville...started all 64 games Louisville played in his two healthy seasons with the Cardinals...a consensus four-star recruit in the Class of 2021...the Orlando Sentinel Boys Basketball Player of the Year and Florida Class 7A Player of the Year, he missed the 2021-22 season (Achilles) and 2024-25 season (knee) with injuries...brings 86 collegiate games played and 64 starts to USF, scoring 756 career points and logging 306 rebounds.

2025-26 (VANDERBILT): Played in 22 games and averaged 1.5 ppg and 2.0 rpg while playing just 10.5 minutes per game...scored a season-best nine points on 3-of-8 shooting from three vs. Ole Miss and pulled down nine rebounds in the game while playing a season-high 26 minutes...played double-digit minutes in 11 games...scored in eight games.

2024-25 (NC STATE): Did not play after suffering knee injury in preseason practice.

2023-24 (LOUISVILLE): ACC Honor Roll...started all 32 games for Louisville and averaged 12.6 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game...shot 81.8 percent from the free throw line, which ranked 10th in the ACC...averaged 33.3 minutes per game to rank ninth in the ACC...led team in scoring eight times...scored in double figures in 22 of 32 games...posted a career-best 26 points, knocking down five three-pointers in win at Miami...made 5-of-7 three-pointers and scored 23 points vs. Pitt...recorded his first career double-double with a then-career-high 25 points and career-high 10 rebounds vs. UMBC.

2022-23 (LOUISVILLE): Named to 2022-23 ACC All-Academic Team and ACC Honor Roll...started all 32 games for Louisville...averaged 10.1 points and 3.3 rebounds per game...played an average of 31 minutes per game...ranked second on the team in scoring, the fourth highest scoring average of amongst ACC freshmen...shot 45.3 percent from the field, including 35.7 percent from three-point range and 78.1 percent from the free throw line...the first UofL freshman since DeJuan Wheat in 1993-94 season to score at least 17 points in three straight games...scored a season-high 24 points twice, vs. Wake Forest and Virginia, the most points by a Louisville freshman since V.J. King in 2017...the first UofL freshman to score at least 24 points multiple times in their rookie season since Francisco Garcia in 2002-03 season...named ACC Rookie of the Week on Jan. 9...scored 16 points in his collegiate debut vs. Bellarmine, the fifth-most ever by a UofL freshman in their debut.

2021-22 (LOUISVILLE): Redshirted the season after suffering torn Achilles tendon in left leg in preseason practice on Oct. 6.

HIGH SCHOOL: A consensus four-star recruit in the Class of 2021...ranked No. 66 nationally by Rivals.com, No. 77 by 247Sports and No. 77 in ESPN 100...averaged 19.4 points, 10.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.2 blocks per game to lead Oak Ridge High School to 23-2 record and the Florida 7A semifinals...shot 58 percent from the field...the 2020-21 Orlando Sentinel Boys Basketball Player of the Year...voted Class 7A Player of the Year in Florida by panel of coaches and media...2021 FACA District 11 Class 7A Player of the Year...averaged 18.5 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.3 assists as a junior in 2019-20 to help lead Oak Ridge to 21-9 record and Class 7A state semifinals...2019-20 First Team All-State selection and Orlando Sentinel All-Area team member.

PERSONAL: Born Sept. 9, 2002...the son of Serena and Douglas James... has two older sisters, Mikayla and Daesha.
