2024: Earned 2024 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors…started nine games and saw action in 14 contests…logged full 90’ in seven matches.

2023: Played in 16 games with nine starts…lone goal of the year came against Memphis (Oct. 27)…played three complete games with a total of 968 minutes on the season.

2022 (WILMU): Second Team All-CACC...CACC Defensive Player of the Week (9/19)...started 15 while apearing in 16 games...scored one goal and had a foot on five assists...lone goal of the season came in a 2-1victory at Millersville (Sept. 29).

2021 (WILMU): Second Team D2CCA All-East Region...CACC Rookie of the Year...First Team All-CACC...CACC Defensive Player of the Week (9/7)...appeared in and started in all 21 games as a true freshman, totaling 1,786 minutes...led team with 10 assists and ranked tied-second among the CACC as a right-back...recorded two assists in season-opener against Bentley on September 2...connected on one assist in a 2-1 victory over Southern New Hampshire on September 11...had one assist against Jefferson (9/21), Goldey-Beacom (10/5), and Georgian Court (10/27)...scored his first collegiate goal in a 2-1 victory over Millersville on September 29...scored one goal against Holy Family on October 19...dished out three assists at Caldwell on October 31. 

High School: Attended Jamaica College...named to the All-Schools Team in 2018 and 2019 and the All-Manning Cup Team in 2019-20...helped lead the team to the Manning Cup Championship in 2020...named MVP of the Manning Cup in 2018...national representative on the U15, U17, and U20 teams.

Personal: Richard Junior Thompson...son of Richard Sr. and Marcia Thompson...majoring in health sciences at Wilmington University with aspirations of becoming a radiographer or physiotherapist...from Montego Bay, Jamaica...favorite athlete is Marcus Rashford...favorite professional sports team is Manchester United...also enjoys track & field and basketball...the greatest piece of advice he’s received is to be strong and push for your goal.
