Laura Ricciardone

Laura Ricciardone joined the USF Softball coaching staff in July 2017. She spent the 2017 season as a graduate assistant for USF. Ricciardone graduated from Harvard in 2015, when she was a standout pitcher for the Crimson. 

Ricciardone has extensive Division I experience not only as a coach, but was instrumental in Harvard’s rise in softball during the 2011-2015 years. A standout student-athlete in the classroom, Ricciardone graduated Harvard with a degree in Psychology and will continue pursuing a Master’s Degree at USF.

On the mound for the Crimson, the two-year captain and most valuable player tossed a career ERA of 1.98, and logged five homers in her final two years at bat. Ricciardone pitched her team to two Ivy League Championships earning All-Ivy League Honors all four years, and is a two-time All-Region NCAA honoree.

After graduating from Harvard, Ricciardone joined her former Crimson coach, Ashley Waters, at Boston University as an assistant coach from 2015-2016. While at BU, Ricciardone gained experience in recruiting while guiding the team to a Patriot League Championship title, as well as a bid to NCAA Regionals.

At BU Ricciardone also helped lead senior Melanie Russel to Patriot League Pitcher of the Year honors, as well as four players to the First-Team All-Patriot honors, and two to Second-Team honors.
