Biography
Jeremy Lees joined the USF Athletics in 2002 and has been promoted three times over the course of his more than 15 year tenure, most recently becoming Assistant Director of Athletics for Equipment Operations in 2013.
In his current role as Assistant Director of Athletics, Lees oversees all aspects of equipment operations for USF Athletics 19 sport programs and has the primary responsibility of setting the vision for all purchasing, maintenance and inventory of all athletic equipment. Lees oversees USF's seven-year contract with Under Armour that supplies all apparel, shoes and other sideline gear and performance equipment to all of USF's 19 athletic programs. He also overseas a 10-year relationship with Schutt, which supplies an inventory of 600 helmets to the USF football program.
Lees overseas a staff of three full-time equipment managers and more that 15 student managers. He is responsible for the budgeting and purchasing of all USF Athletic equipment and apparel and is also the primary contact for the equipment department in establishing and building relationships with manufacturers and vendors to assist USF's coaching staffs and administration to protect student-athletes, provide quality recommendations on all athletic equipment, and enhance USF Athletics' purchasing power.
Lees began his career at USF as as a student mananager for the football program in 2002, just five years after the program began. He was promoted to Head Football Equipment Manager in 2006. In 2011, he was again promoted to Director of Equipment Operations overseeing all USF Athletics' equipment and was promotd again to Assistant Director of Athletics in 2013.
While at USF, Lees gained extra experience working the sidelines for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He and his staff also work regularly with the Under Armour All-America Game in St. Petersburg.
Lees is a member of the American Equipment Managers Association. He graduated from USF with a business management degree after attending Hudson High School, where he played football and baseball.
He and his wife, Debbie, have three children, Owen, Makenna and Macie.
