Graduate Assistant at Alabama helping the team to NCAA Tournament berth

Parker Lovett joined Kristy Curry’s first South Florida staff as Assistant Coach/Director of Player Development.

BEFORE SOUTH FLORIDA
Lovett came to South Florida after serving as a graduate assistant at Alabama during the 2025-26 season. He supported the women’s basketball coaching staff with scouting, film breakdown, recruiting logistics, creative content, and player development. Lovett also helped oversee all in-game challenges, reviews and defensive statistics.

Before Alabama, Lovett played on the men's basketball team at LaGrange College as well as working in multiple roles, including as a women’s basketball student assistant coach, the director of creative content for the athletics department, and the president of the Sport Management Club. He was also a student-athlete on the cross country along with the men’s basketball team.

As a student assistant coach, he led scouting reports, in-game substitutions, play calling and adjustments. His teams finished fourth in NCAA Division III in BLOB efficiency and 13th across all of college basketball and had a 39-14 record over 2 seasons

Lovett did graphic design work for numerous Division I basketball programs throughout his college career and worked as a camp coach for schools such as UCLA, Tennessee, Xavier, Auburn, Georgia, Colorado, and more.

He holds two bachelor’s degrees from LaGrange College and earned his master’s degree from Alabama in 2026.
