2024: In his first season at USF he handled kickoffs and long field goal attempts...kicked off 68 times for 4,087 yards and 29 touchbacks...went 3-of-5 on field goals, with all attempts over 50 yards, and 1-of-1 on PAT, scoring 10 points...made field goals of 58, 52 and 51 yards, missing from 58 and 53...became the first kicker in USF history with two 50-yard field goals in the same game when he went 2-of-2 on 50-yard field goal attempts, including a career high 58-yard long and a 51-yard attempt, against Miami (9/21)…the 58-yard make marked the second-longest field goal in program history behind only his uncle Bill Gramatica's 63-yarder in 2000...made his first career PAT in the second half of the season-opener against Bethune-Cookman (8/31)...recorded five kickoffs for 325 yards, including a fumble recovery on the opening second half kickoff against Alabama (9/7)…recorded three kickoffs for 195 yards at Tulane (9/28)...recorded one kickoff for 65 yards and one field goal for 52 yards against Memphis (10/8)…recorded six kickoffs for 281 yards against UAB (10/19)...recorded eight kickoffs for 517 yards at FAU (11/1)…recorded one kickoff for 65 yards against Navy (11/9)…recorded eight kickoffs for 496 yards at Charlotte (11/16)...recorded eight kickoffs for 503 yards against Tulsa (11/23)…recorded three kickoffs for 175 yards at Rice (11/30)...kicked off six times for 361 yards vs. San Jose State in the Hawai'i Bowl (12/24).
 
CAMBRIDGE CHRISTIAN HIGH SCHOOL: A record-setting kicker for Cambridge Christian School’s program…rated a two-star recruit by 247Sports and Rivals and the number one ranked kicker in the 2024 class…as a junior in 2022, connected on four of four field goal attempts, and hit 27 of 31 extra points…as a senior in 2023, kicked a school record 54-yard field goal, and then topped it later with a 56-yard field goal…also played soccer…Nico received interest across the nation and chose USF after visiting his father's alma mater Kansas State, the University of Florida, and the University of Oklahoma.

PERSONAL: His brother Gatson, also kicks for the Bulls (joining in the Class of 2026) and served as Nico’s holder on his kicks in high school…his father, Martin, was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the third round of the 1999 NFL Draft after winning Lou Groza Award and earning All-American and All-Big 12 honors at Kansas State…Martin played through 2008, making the Pro Bowl being named All-Pro in 2000, and winning Super Bowl XXXVII…Martin also holds the record for longest FBS field goal at 65 yards…Nico’s two uncles, Bill and Santiago, both kicked at USF....Bill kicked for USF from 1998-2000 and later for the Arizona Cardinals from 2001-03 and New York Giants in 2004...Santiago kicked for USF from 2001-04...Bill owns the USF record for longest field goal (a 63-yarder in 2000)...Santiago ranks No. 3 at USF in career scoring (246), while Bill is No. 6 (193)....His father and both his uncles wore No. 7...Nico started in No. 7 in his first fall camp, but switched to No. 25 (2+5=7) as the Bulls already had two No. 7s on the roster...named to the Athletics Honor Roll in the Spring of 2024 and 2025 and fall of 2025...2025 CSC Academic All-District.
