Anthony Martini joined the South Florida Athletic Communications staff in February 2026 after serving as the Assistant Media Relations and Digital Strategy Officer at NJIT for a year and a half. He serves as the primary contact for women's basketball, cross country, track and field, and men's golf.

At NJIT, Martini served as the primary media relations and creative contact for women's soccer, men's lacrosse, swimming and diving, cross country, and track and field. He also served as the creative video coordinator for men's and women's basketball and planned and executed media days for all 19 teams at NJIT.

Martini had a lot of social media success at NJIT, producing the top 19 and 29 of the top 30 most liked Instagram posts in NJIT Women's Soccer history. He also generated 95 Instagram collaborations with accounts over 10,000 followers.

In his first season with the Highlanders, Martini increased cross country and track and field Instagram followers by 50% and accounts reached on Facebook by 959%. He also recorded a 65% increase in accounts reached for NJIT Lacrosse Facebook.

Before his role at NJIT, Martini served as the Athletic Communications Assistant at Eastern Kentucky University for two seasons. He was the primary communications contact for the cross country, track and field, and tennis programs at EKU. Martini launched and oversaw the EKU Sports TikTok account, gaining 2,256 followers. He created, captured, and published photo and video content for 16 different EKU teams.

During his time at EKU, Martini was extremely successful in engaging Colonels’ fans on social and digital media. He increased cross country and track and field Instagram followers by 278% and X followers by 47%. While working with the EKU tennis programs his first season, the team’s X account ranked No. 1 in raw follower growth for Division I in October 2022 and No. 3 in percentage follower growth for Division I in December 2022.

Prior to arriving in Richmond, Martini was a Communications Intern with Temple Athletics for five months, where he was the primary communications contact for men’s golf, cheer, and dance.  Martini managed the men’s golf social media accounts where he increased Instagram followers by 13% and X followers by 10%.

Martini served as a Social Media Marketing Intern with the DuBois Dream where he managed all the social media accounts. He led the fastest-growing social media presence in the Premier Basketball League, where he increased TikTok followers by 787% and TikTok engagement by 639% in nine months.

He worked in several other roles in Temple Athletics and was a Game Day Marketing Assistant for Penn Athletics.

Martini also volunteers as a CSC U Committee member with College Sports Communicators. The CSC U Committee focuses on educating and mentoring undergraduate and new professionals in college athletics communications.

Martini graduated from Temple University in May 2022, with a bachelor’s degree in sport and recreation management with a sport and recreation promotion concentration and a general business studies minor. 

He completed his masters from EKU in May 2024 with a degree in sports administration.
