Under Dee’s lead, Yang was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Year, and helped the Bulls to a second place finish at the BIG EAST Championships, the best finish since joining the conference.

The Bulls recorded the second lowest season scoring average in team history this season, under Dee’s leadership, and the third best versus par score of 16.73 in program history.
Dee began her time as a USF assistant coach beginning with the 2009-10 season.
“Sally is coming back to the USF Golf program with just as much enthusiasm and passion as when she helped lead her team to a top 5 finish at the NCAA National Championship. Sally’s credentials and dedication to USF made her a natural fit to help elevate this team to national prominence,” Kornegay said.
Dee was a member of the USF golf team from 1989-1993. She was a member of the USF golf team that went to the NCAA championships in 1990 (10TH in the nation) and 1991 (4TH in the nation), and the eastern regional championships in 1993.
Sally played on the LPGA Tour from 1998 to 2002, where she recorded five top 10 and two top five finishes.
“I am honored to help Coach Marci Kornegay and the university I love, USF, achieve its goals of becoming a dominate force in women’s golf. Furthermore, I am excited for the opportunity to coach the young women on our team to become champions on the golf course, in the classroom and in life,” Dee said.
Dee also showed her hitting prowess in 2004 by winning the ReMax Long Drive Championship. She also appeared on the Golf Channel’s Reality TV show, "Big Break X: Michigan where she and her teammate made the semi-finals.
