Tanner Johnson

Tanner joined the Fishman Family Student-Athlete Enrichment Center at the University of South Florida in May 2024 as the Academic Coordinator for Volleyball, Women’s Golf, and Women’s Sailing. He holds a Master of Science in Sport Management from West Virginia University (2024) and a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education – Teacher Education from South Dakota State University (2022).
Tanner previously served as an Assistant Academic Advisor for football at the University of Central Florida. He also brings experience as a high school football coach, strength and conditioning coach, physical education teacher, and academic support with student-athletes through volunteer work at the University of Nebraska Omaha.
A former college football player, Tanner remains passionate about sports and education. Outside of work, he enjoys exercising, spending time with his girlfriend and his dog Dakota, and attending USF and Tampa Bay sporting events.
