Biography

2024: Saw action in all 13 games, recording 22 tackles (15 solo), a sack, two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery and six pass break-ups…had a tackle and a forced fumble at Alabama (9/7) …logged three tackles at Tulane (9/28) and again vs. UAB (10/19)... had five pass break-ups during the regular season, two against B-CU (8/31), two at Florida Atlantic (11/1), and one vs. Navy (11/9)... forced and recovered his first career fumble vs. Tulsa (11/23), running down a Golden Hurricane receiver and striping the ball from behind at the goal line... had his first career sack at Rice (11/30) along with four total tackles… registered a career high with five total tackles, two solo and three assisted, followed by his final PBU on the season vs. San Jose St. (12/24) in the Hawaii Bowl.

2023: Was working as a starter in the two-deep in fall camp when he suffered a season-ending knee injury...did not see action.

2022: Saw action in 12 games, playing mostly on special teams and in the two-deep in the secondary…recorded five tackles on the year…had a season-best three tackles vs ECU (10/1).

2021: Saw action in four of the Bulls' 12 games, primarily in a special teams capacity...posted one tackle on the year, coming vs. Florida (9/11).

2020: Saw action in six of the Bulls' nine games on the year in his true-freshman season...posted one tackle on the year, logging that vs. Tulsa (10/23).

DELAND HS: Coached by Steve Allen...helped his team post a 7-3 record in 2019 and make an appearance in the regional quarterfinals…as a senior, totaled 25 tackles, two forced fumbles, seven passes defended, an interception and a fumble recovery return for a touchdown…as a junior, posted 22 tackles (15 solo)…also competed for DeLand’s track and field team...committed to the Bulls in June of 2019…rated as a three-star recruit by 247Sports, Rivals and Scout…chose USF over offers from Bethune-Cookman, Jacksonville State, Charlotte and Colorado State…older brother, Benjamin, started his football career at USF in 2014.

PERSONAL: Born Aug. 8, 2001 in DeLand, Fla….son of Benjamin Knox and Michelle Marks…full name is BenTaveyon...has one older brother and one younger sister…enjoys drawing and writing in his spare time...named to Athletics Honor Roll in spring of 2021 and 2024...earned AAC All-Academic honors in 2020 and 2021...graduated with degree in Health Sciences Fall of 2023.
