Rachael Bode enters her 1st year at the University of South Florida as an Associate Athletic Trainer. Her primary sport responsibility is women’s volleyball. In this role she provides injury evaluation, therapeutic intervention strategies, and collaborative sports medicine care.

Bode came to USF after a successful career at Grand Canyon University. During her time at Grand Canyon University from 2017-23 Bode served as an Asscoiate Athletic Trainer and later Interim Director of Sports Medicine working with the Women's Volleyball and Beach Volleyball programs. In these roles, she oversaw all day-to-day aspects of healthcare for the student-athletes.  She assisted her sports teams during day-to day coverage in the athletic training room, evaluated and treated a wide variety of sports injuries, and communicated & consulted with the sport nutritionist and psychologists to ensure safe lifestyles of the athletes under her care. She also supervised athletic training undergraduate students. 

Prior to her full-time roles, Bode began her time with as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at the University of Oklahoma.  Her sport assignments included Men's Tennis and Volleyball. She graduated from Oklahoma with her Master of Education in Adult and Higher Education with an emphasis in Intercollegiate Athletic Administration in 2017. Prior to Oklahoma, Bode completed and internship at the University of Maryland assisting with the football and women's gymnastics teams. Bode graduated from Florida Southern University in 2015 with Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training.

Bode is a BOC Certified Athletic trainer, Florida Licensed Athletic Trainer, and member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association. She holds additional certifications in Dry Needling, BFR, IASTM, IV Therapy, and CPR/AED.

Bode currently resides in Tampa, FL with her dog Bailey. She enjoys being outdoors, trying new restaurants, and watching sports in her free time."
