(September 27, 2005) Newport, R.I. – The USF men's golf team finished fifth in the 16-team Adams Cup of Newport with a 54-hole 927. Texas A&M shot an 895 to win the event.

Justin Fetcho finished seventh for USF, shooting rounds of 77, 76 and 74 for a 227 total. Other USF golfers included Kevin Tilbury (78-74-79), Chris Black (79-76-81), Tyler Hitchcock (84-75-78) and Greg O'Mahony (83-77-78).
