(February 14, 2006) Orlando, Fla. -- The USF men's golf team fell back to 16th place in its spring season opener at the UCF/Rio Pinar Intercollegiate, completing the three-round event with a 910 total, 33 shots behind winner Lamar. The Bulls had been in 12th place in the 18-team field after Monday's first round.
Tyler Hitchcock led the USF efforts, finishing in eighth place with rounds of 77, 75 and 69 for a 221 total. USF was also represented by Kevin Tilbury (77-75-71), Chris Black (79-74-78), Federico Mautone (79-76-83) and Justin Fetcho (76-81-84-241).
The Bulls next competition is the Dick Wittcoff Invitational at the USF Golf Course, March 3-5.
